A bournemouth fan just posted on the DCFC mad forum that rumour has it they're putting in a 500k bid for Ben Davies.
Thoughts?

still gone for me at that price - we're doing ok without him and it's not like we haven't got a few options in midfield.

obviously we'd be light in terms of RM but i am still to be convinced he is a consistent enough performer at this level.

have to say this rumour does wiff a bit...

Yet another Russian. Good for them to splash the cash but it's the contracts these guys leave behind if they fail that kills the club. Having said that doesn't league 1 already have some kind of wage cap?

A Russian as opposed to Americans, just because we have a policy that means we can't compete against some of the teams in this league doesn't mean that all others have to follow suit.........yet, abolish transfers and bring in a draft system could be next on the leagues agenda :-)

As for Davies, take the money, had his chance and IMO not good enough for this level.

do we really need any other players apart from doyle? if only he could play in every position......

His contract is up next summer, and he is 30 now. Considering we only paid £350k for him it would be a good deal, similar to Moxey last year
