I'd be pleased if he joins. I've been very impressed with the lad from what I've seen of him.

My spurs mate says he's very decent, called up to England u21's and has just signed a new contract with Jake Livermore sill 2016, both Jake and Tom are Harry's future midfield ....... Thats what he says anyway, sounds intriguing, cos apparently fulham wanted him in Dec ?

Hopefully better than Livermore though.. I'm really only ever in favour of loan deals with view to permanents though, like Noble we have a chance of getting him for nothing in a few months time (or minimal fee) with this kid, he may be a special player in the future but sounds like Spurs aren't going to let him go, therefore.. think we should look elsewhere!

Spurs‘ technical coordinator Tim Sherwood stated that he would like to see the youngster go to a passing team in the Championship.

“He could possibly go out of loan but only at the right club. You don’t see Chelsea sending out McEachran to anyone. If we were going to send Tom Carroll out anywhere it has to be a Championship club, and one who passes it, so that narrows it down to about two.”

This is the same Tom Carroll who FA coaches had not even heard of before making his mark in Europa League and domestic cup matches:

“They said ‘Tom who? That’s not right. They should be going out and watching games. But then you just have to look at the England Under 21s and see they have got three centre halves playing in midfield. They are powerful boys but you need a bit of both, a bit of a ballplayer. Carroll played against Stoke and they couldn’t lay a glove on him.”

That rules us out then.

Wonder if there is anything in this rumour. Would make an interesting addition if Clough could pull this off. He is described by some Forum posters on Leyton Orient board as being, "the next Jack Wiltshire" and played for Orient against the Gunners last year in the cup and did well. One Spurs fan likened him to a young Modric, obviously getting a bit carried away with himself. He is obviously technically gifted and can pick a good pass. Sounds like a playmaker type who would make an impact in the championship if he were to move. Different type of midfielder to what we have already. Anyway doubt this will happen, knowing the way we have been treated by Spurs in the past.

I hope it's true as he could be that difference we need to create something from midfield. Build on the solid midfield we have.

We haven't been treated badly by Spurs we just had a rubbish board at the time.

C Bloomfield seems to be dismissing the link. Suppose it would be a kick in the teeth for the likes of Maguire Hendrick Doyle Ben Davies Hughes and Witham if it were on the cards. They would find it harder to get into the 16 as such a loan would have been on condition he got some gametime. Still think he would have added some class and creativity.

As opposed to bringing in Noble ?
If he is better than what we have got then that shouldnt be a consideration, of the ones listed how many actually get into the 16 anyway, and lets face it, if a 15 year old kid is ahead of you, surely you would consider your future anyway.
