Was a terrific player at one point, arguably the best centre back in the division with Kilgallon, watching him at 22/23 I never thought it'd end like this.. :(

Nathan Tyson officially ruined his career when he killed him off in the 5-2 win, he must hate him!

Deano's issues are nothing to do with football.

Capable of being brilliant on his day - awful on others.

Top man, hope he's reading this. Hi Dean! We've had several decent Dean's at the club, wonder where the next one will come from.

Great partnership with Moore in the promotion season. Shame it hasn't worked out over the last few years.

I could have happily killed off both of our full backs that night for stupidly getting themselves booked in the first few minutes!!!

Bumped into Dean and Darren Moore a few years back after a match once. They were coming out the Stuart Hotel on London Road as we were walking back to the station about 7.30pm. Had a brief hero worship chat and both were absolutely sound blokes, friendly, chatty, and took time out to talk to half a dozen semi drunk fans.

If Dean had the drive and commitment of a Seth Johnson, or indeed, Darren Moore, he would have had a great career at the top level. Extremely talented for a big defender.

He was immense in the play off season so calm and casual, but Clough will never forgive him for that display at forest last year.

Mid-table of League 1, don't see any of the top 6 wanting him.

As others have said, a shame that it all ended like this.

Great alongside Darren Moore in the promotion season but failed to live up to that standard for far too long since.

Clearly we're at the point now where it's in the best interests of the player and club to go their separate ways. Good luck Dean, I'm sure you'll serve someone extremely well in the future.

Can see him going somewhere like Crawley Town who are big spenders and pairing up with Claud Clod Hopping Davies

I hav always thought he was a good player but it's clear him and cloughie aren't happy with the way each other work, it's happened to better players than Leacock that the player and manager just aren't a good fit. He still has plenty of time left to be a success again. I don't know why so many are talking about his drive, none of us know what he is like.

Deano's been a great servant to the club and will be always be well thought of by the vast majority of Rams fans.

Hopefully he gets a new club soon that can give him first team football and let's hope he keeps clear of injuries.

Dean, if you're reading these comments, I wish you all the very best wherever your career takes you.

Top bloke, keep it loose and stay on your feet..!!
