He doesn't hate Derby but he'll never come here..

'Sideways move' gives it away really

He's happy at Forest, getting first team football now that McLaren is gone.. He'll wait for a promoted club next season to take a gamble on him or someone like QPR or Wolves.

Where did your "sideways move" come from?

Forest aren't in debt. The money that Doughty invested in the club is non-repayable.

and as far as McGugan, I don't think he is the correct kind of central midfielder we need, personally.

He's got a hammer shot, and I think he'll do a good job. In my opinion.

Could have believed it when McLaren was thereas they didn’t get on and he dropped him.

Suspect it won’t happen now in a month of sundays

He'd be a fantastic signing and there's no denying that. Shame it'll never happen.

We're obviously going to sign him
Steve Cotterill is ready to cash in on £1.5million-rated playmaker Lewis McGugan to save Nottingham Forest from relegation.
Forest have failed in a bid to bring Cardiff striker Robert Earnshaw back to the City Ground in a swap deal.
Boss Cotterill now accepts 23-year-old McGugan must be sold next month to help fund the search for a genuine goalscorer.
“We are not full of goals – and that is a problem for any team,” admitted Cotterill.
From everybody's favourite newspaper, the mirror.

A goalscorer they say, look no further than Connor Doyle... upfront with Robbie Findley they would have a rootin' tootin' good time!!

could be good. Once Pearson, Leacock, Bywater follow Anderson out the door......suprise exit for Maguire back to Scotland in a swap for a big lad from Hearts

Seems strange to sell their best goal scoring midfielder. I rate him, he could have a poor game but still win the game with a moment of genius. He's an attacking midfielder who has usually played as one of a central midfield partner ship, pushed up behind a striker he could be lethal.

He is young as well and the board once Bywater and Pearson have gone have no reason not to sign him. Think we could do a normal negotation and get him for about 1.2million.

Big mistake I think for them if they do sell him especially now. This lad could be another Jenas who if hadn't been unfortunate with injuries over the last couple of years would be playing in Europe for Spurs.

Lets get him signed as that would for me sort the midfield out

Is it me or is mcgugan back up incase the ward to fester deal somehow does actually go through? As we won't spend decent money on a striker nevermind a midfielder?
